Research Institute of International Trade

The Institute of International Trade was founded in 1985 for the purpose of analysing international economic environments and constructional changes, and for the purpose of studying Korea's international economic aspects and alternative policies. Besides this, our primary goal is to contribute to SKKU's education, research and social responsibilities. Meanwhile, we have been performing lots of business such as data collection, analysis, reports and academic lectures.

In 1996, the Institute of International Trade established Sungkyunkwan World Insurance Program for the opening of insurance market. SWIP which was built to inherit the tradition of insurance and to keep the initiating role of SKKU in the insurance industry. In December 2003, the Global Insurance Culture Research Center was founded under the Institute of International Trade, to realize SWIP's tradition and to strengthen industrial-educational cooperation. It is the only insurance research institute in Korea.
