Core Research Fellow Position
at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU)
SKKU, as a top global research university, is seeking highly passionate core post-doc fellowship researchers in a wide variety of the following fields to join SKKU’s affiliated research institutions that are providing many training/joint-research opportunities to enhance their research capacities.
About SKKU

SKKU and Samsung manage 110 joint research projects, allowing students the chance to work for the world’s top electronics company. SKKU is ranked 106th in QS World University Rankings. APPLICABLE FIELDS
Humanities and social sciences (including arts and sports science) and all areas in natural sciences, engineering and medicine
QUALIFICATIONS
Required qualifications:
• Doctoral degree from domestic or overseas university (conferred within last 5 years)
• Eligible for appointment as a research fellow at SKKU’s affiliated units (colleges, graduate schools, departments, affiliated institutions, affiliated research institutes, etc.)
Preferred qualifications:
• Being recommended by a full-time SKKU professor or advising professor at SKKU
CONDITIONS & COMPENSATION
• Contract: One year (renewable up to three years according to evaluation)
• Compensation: 1,500,000 ~ 3,000,000 KRW a month, plus severance pay, employment insurance, and housing
• Other benefits:
- Supporting joint-research through linkage with SKKU’s research units relevant to the researcher’s areas of focus
- Providing airfare and short-stay housing fees additionally for those overseas R/F who are considered to have outstanding research competitiveness and potential
RESPONSIBILITIES & EVALUATION
• Submission of research performance report to the university
• Performance evaluation after two years by the university
• Submission of final research performance report within three years, which includes acknowledgement of his/her research results; contributing fund, affiliated institutions, main author and co-authors)
