2024 SERI(Sungkyun Economic Research Institute) International Conference

The Sungkyun Economic Research Institute (SERI), in collaboration with the BK21 Four Education and Research Group in Economics (Director: Sung-Hyun Kim, Dean of the College of Economics), the Institute of Applied Statistics (Director: Chan-Min Kim, Professor of Statistics), and the ICT Innovation Talent 4.0 Project Group (Director: Eun-Il Park, Professor of Interaction Science), will host the "2024 SERI International Conference" on Friday, July 12, and Saturday, July 13, at Dasan Hall of Economics.

Since 2018, the Finance International Academic and International Research Collaboration Project, initiated by Professor Ryu, has successfully invited Nobel laureates in economics (Myron Scholes, Robert Merton, Robert Engle), appointed editors of SSCI journals to faculty positions, hosted major international conferences, and facilitated joint education and research with prestigious overseas universities. The upcoming 10th International Conference will feature lectures and presentations from editors of internationally renowned SSCI journals in Finance/Economics and professors from prestigious international universities.

Keynote speakers include Prof. Peter Szilagyi, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money (SSCI, IF=4) from EDHEC Business School; Prof. Jonathan A. Batten, Co-Editor of Finance Research Letters (SSCI, IF=10.4), a top 1% journal in Business/Finance; and Prof. Robert I. Webb, Distinguished Research Professor at the University of Virginia. Additionally, Prof. Sandy Suardi from the University of Wollongong, whose work has been cited in Senate hearings, European financial market expert Prof. Jens Müller-Merbach from Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, and Rayn Moon, CEO of Newsy Stock, will deliver lectures. Approximately 60 academic research papers will be presented.

Papers presented at the conference will have the opportunity to be published in the Investment Analysts Journal, an internationally renowned SSCI journal published by Taylor & Francis, where Prof. Doo-Jin Ryu serves as Editor.
