2021 Spring Semester Wooseok Jeong Ho Scholarship Ceremony Held
The 2021 spring semester Wooseok Jeong Ho Scholarship Awards ceremony was held on April 9 (Fri) at the 600th Anniversary Hall (6F). Seojin Chung, the CEO of Hwashin and a son of former chairman Jeong Ho (SKKU graduate) visited our university and awarded scholarship to the students who have made great performance.
At the event, Junyoung Kim(Chairman of the Board of Trustee), Junmo Cho(Executive Vice President of Humanities and Social Sciences Campus), Sunghyun Kim(Dean of the College of Economics), Heejun Ahn (Dean of SKK Business School), Joonsang Lee(Chair, Department of Economics), Changryong Baek(Chair, Department of Statistics), Dongwon Lee(Chair, Department of Global Economics), Hyundae Shin(Director of External Affairs & Public Relations office), and 16 scholarship beneficiary students attended.
Wooseok Jeong Ho Scholarship was founded to support students who will grow into great leader for contributing to the country. Since the foundation year of 2012, 350 students have been awarded the scholarship with the scholarship amount of 890 million won. In this semester, the scholarship (36 million won) was given to 18 students; 13 students from the College of Economics and 5 students from SKK Business School.
At the ceremony, there were congratulatory messages from Junyoung Kim and Seojin Jung. We had appreciative time to remember the late chairman Chung Ho and delivered special thanks to his son CEO Seojin Chung.
DongRyangJiJae, introduced by the late chairman Jung Ho, which means a great leader for the country and society, its meaning permeates our beneficiary students to become a greatly prominent calibre in the future.
