- 논문 제목: Strategic Outsourcing to Shared AI Platforms

- 초록: When competing firms outsource to a shared AI-assisted consultant, the platform creates a new organizational externality: the same intermediary that raises each firm's productivity also pools knowledge across rivals, generating opposing efficiency and spillover forces simultaneously. These forces produce a non-monotone equilibrium map: joint outsourcing is self-sustaining only within a bounded interval of spillover strength, collapsing from free-riding above and insufficient pooling below. Because a firm contemplating unilateral adoption activates no cross-client pooling, the adoption margin is independent of spillover strength while the joint-outsourcing margin is not. This structural separation implies that fee-based and architecture-based regulation are fundamentally different instruments.
